Welcome to My Home on the Web. My name is Asaad Abdollahzadeh and my nickname is Aso. I created my website in November 2008 to share some of my personal info.

Brief Biography

I was born in July 1977 in Piranshahr, a town about 10 km from Iran-Iraq border, where I received primary, secondary, and high-school educations. After High-School, I entered to Amir-Kabir University of Technology (AUT) to study Mining Engineering - Exploration, where I finished BS and ranked 2nd among 25 students in September 1999. Then I earned NIOC scholarship and went to Paris (Rueil-Malmaison), France to study MSc in Petroleum Reservoir Geoscince and Engineering at IFP-school.
I started my professional carrier by doing a six months internship at BP, Aberdeen within Subsurface Team in 2002. Afterwards, I joined RIPI and worked 3 years in reservoir study projects. In April 2005, I built my own team to start a reservoir simulator development project at RIPI. In April 2009, I relinquished my position as team leader at RIPI. Having leading a multi-disciplinary team of 5-10 talented members and managing several Research and Development projects for about 7 years at RIPI, I joined Heriot-Watt University in February 2010 as Research Associate / PHD Student, working on reservoir simulation (Reservoir Automatic History-matching, Uncertainty Quantification, and Optimisation) research problems.
